Outstanding early years: Preparation for inspection receives fantastic feedback
Yesterday saw the first in a series of new courses designed by Matt, one of our early years’ specialists. The course received fantastic feedback with delegates saying that Matts, subject knowledge, passion and ability to enthuse candidates contributed to make a very useful and productive day.
The course provides an interactive look at how to achieve an outstanding inspection in early years’ education and a look at current early years practice and outcomes. It is aimed at school leaders and those with responsibility of the EYFS who want to gain an understanding of current inspection practices, particularly if they are a good school aspiring for outstanding outcomes. It is packed full of ideas to support and present at inspection. Using a range of practical tools and the latest thinking from OFSTED, participants will have a clear pathway for action planning back at the setting. The training is very practical in nature, giving participants the opportunity to discuss their current practice and judgements with others and learn to apply key inspection criteria. Participants are asked to bring along any materials such as early year’s action plan, current and historic data including RAISE ONLINE and monitoring evidence.
Delegates were enthused and buzzing when they left. Here are just a couple of their comments:
- “The best yet – fantastic”
- Delegates said they enjoyed “The way Matt delivered what can be a dry subject.”
- “Good to get the advice on what ofsted will need from us. Good to have time to reflect on own school situation and time to think about “1 pager”
- “Good materials”
- The course gave “clear instructions on what Ofsted are looking for”
