1 Day Emergency First Aid At Work
Aimed at: The course is appropriate for Senior leaders, teachers, support and ancillary staff who wish to become qualified First aiders
Course details: Your risk assessment of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aider's. These may be either as an addition to your First Aider's, or where the risk of your activities is low, it may well identify them as being sufficient, without the need of additional First Aider's.
A range of subjects is covered including:-
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Basic hygiene in First Aid
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation
- Heart attacks
- Bleeding control
- Minor injuries
- Angina
- Choking
- Shock Seizures
Entry requirements:
There are no entry requirements. We are obliged to state that the minimum age for participation in this course is 16 years of age.

- The maximum number of participants per tutor for this first aid course is 12.
- The cost per participant can be as little as £105.83+VAT, if all 12 places are filled.
- Should you wish to share the training (and the cost) with another school you are welcome to do so.

Assessment requirements:All successful students will be issued with a new Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, lasting for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.
Non-completion: Only participants who successfully complete the assessments will be issued with the accredited certificates.

A former combat trained medic within HM Forces (Army) Bob is an experienced and qualified first aid instructor. He is qualified to teach a wide range of first aid courses including 3 day first aid at work; paediatric first aid and defibrillator training. He is a professional Health and Safety consultant registered with the OSHCR and registered Professional Engineer with long managerial, practical and instructional experience. He provides fully accredited Health & Safety consultancy and first aid training courses by either OFQUAL, IOSH, IATP and FPA.
