Course Overview:

Moving your school forward using effective educational coaching strategies

More than ever, coaching in education is being recognised as a valuable tool to motivate leaders and staff, raise morale, and build confidence and self-belief in order to deal positively with change.

Coaching is simple – the impact is phenomenal! This one-day course follows on from the ‘Moving your schools forward from good to outstanding’ course. It can also stand alone as a bespoke introduction to coaching.  It looks at continuing the journey by motivating and engaging staff to move forward using coaching to raise performance in the classroom and to develop coaching and mentoring strategies at leadership level.

Coaching is a powerful conversation through which change can happen. Coaching can successfully support leaders and teachers to identify barriers and provide ways of overcoming them. Coaching conversations can be used to:

  • Support teachers struggling with a particular problem within the classroom such as classroom management
  • Improve the quality of teaching for individuals and across teams to raise standards
  • motivate and support leaders and teams who are facing change
  • Inspire leaders to tackle challenging situations
  • Move teaching from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’
  • Boost confidence in students to help them achieve their full potential
  • Guide teams to improve outcomes for all pupils
