EYFS : Learning from the best: Effective teaching, learning and assessment
An interactive look at current early years practice, from National agenda to continuous provision. From outdoor learning to provision progress over time. The course will prepare you well for your next inspection, show you how to implement quality first practice enabling rapid progress for learners in the early years.
The course helps participants gain an understanding of current Early years practice, assessment and planning and how this fits into the Inspection framework. It will empower participants to focus sharply on progress and enable teachers own style to fit in with the National agenda.
Who should attend?
School and academy teachers who are new to early years, the course is also suitable for NQT’s, RQT's, returning teachers and teachers who want to refresh their knowledge of quality EYFS practice.
Meet Matt, the course tutor
Matt is an experienced educational consultant and a successful headteacher. He has taught in London Coventry and Warwickshire, he has worked as an NPQH assessor, been involved in PGCE and schools direct programme and has led a school-to-school support network.
Having taught all year groups from Nursery to year 6 and having coordinated the majority of subjects, with recent classroom experience, Matt understands the challenges and rewards schools and academies face. Matt is passionate about education, and is motivated by helping children achieve, schools develop and teachers to flourish. His courses are dynamic, contain up-to the minute information and are highly practical.
